Eight seasons of the year
The northern nature follows eight seasons’ cycle. The cycle varies from the autumn ruska colours that set the landscape on fire to the pitch dark kaamos that provides you with the clearest vision of the northern lights. After the cold winter hibernation we enjoy a brisk snowy spring with its first rays of sunlight, all the way to the nightless night and the midnight sun of the summer.
indigenous sámi culture
The Sámi peoples have inhabited northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Russian Kola peninsula since prehistoric times. Still this day reindeer herding is one of their main livelihood and a way of life that still determines most of the Sámi lifestyle. Experience the northern culture and get carried away with the easygoing pace of life.
